Selection Criteria:
  • Skilled in the welding of Steel in all positions, utilizing steel plate, pipe as well as rolled steel sections.
  • Have a good understanding of welding techniques such as Manual Metal Arc Welding , Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG) and Flux Cored Arc Welding 
  • Good understanding and ability to set up welding equipment.
  • Good understanding of quality requirements and able to undertake welder qualification testing to the required welding process
  • A responsible professional, with a genuine commitment towards the observance and application, of all aspects of Safety, Health and the Environment, related to his tasks
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Have a willingness to strive for improvement within a successful company

Our Client is a major supplier of temperature controlled storage and warehousing in New Zealand.  They are a South Island based company, with branches in Timaru, Dunedin and Christchurch and a subsidiary company in the Hawkes Bay.

A vacancy exists within the team for an Assistant Inventory Controller based in Timaru.  Reporting to the Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities include:
  • excellent interpersonal skills which enable strong working relationships with staff at all levels, as well as the enhancement of customer relationships
  • some experience in systems and administration, including quality assurance programmes
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • computer skills, with experience in Word, Excel, Access and networked systems
  • possess a high degree of accuracy and a proven ability to meet deadlines with ease
  • experience in inventory control and MAF certification would be an advantage, but not a prerequisite as full training will be given

Ideally based in New Zealand, although due to the diversity of the role and amount of travel required there may be some flexibility on base location. Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise projects in all ERM methodologies including risk diagnostics, identification, quantification, policies and procedures, monitoring, corporate governance and reporting, and risk technology systems
• Work directly with clients to identify areas of governance, risk, process and control weakness

Skills, Experience and qualifications
• The ability to build strong client relationships and understand client's agendas and needs
• Able to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timelines and expectations
• Strong financial and analytical skills delivered in a disciplined manner
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills with excellent report-writing skills
• Able to facilitate business managers and leaders to identify and assess their key business risks and associated controls

• Candidates will be considered who have had at least 5 years Risk Management exposure within an operational/commercial role as well as those candidates who have large project experience.
